Dear friends, partners, and colleagues,
As 2023 comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on Streaver and the journey we’ve embarked on. This year has been undoubtedly the most challenging thus far. Today I can look back and say we not only sailed through the storm, but also affirm we are here for a reason. Stronger, more committed and resilient than ever.
The year began with a pivotal moment for us: the definition of our North Star Metric (NSM). It's our north towards becoming the premier tech partner we envision. Our NSM is rooted deeply in our mission. We aspire to play a significant role in creating a positive impact in the digital ecosystem. Our vision extends beyond the development of mere software. We want to craft innovative pathways towards a more plentiful future.
Despite the global economic uncertainty, widespread layoffs, and the disruptive AI revolution, we made a defining choice. We decided to keep our team intact. It was a commitment to our team’s potential, since they shape the essence of Streaver to this day. It’s more than just maintaining numbers to us; it’s about preserving the heart and soul of Streaver.
This year we put big focus on enhancing Streaver operationally, promoting team collaboration and quality interactions among ourselves. At Streaver, we can’t see work as a another job. Indeed, if I consider life as the experiences you live, then work is “The Streaver Experience” we have. That lead us to ask ourselves — what does it mean to be part of Streaver? How should we carry ourselves? What effect do we want to generate in others? What type of impact will we create on others? —
We solidified our agile mindset, pushing it to new heights. Since our very beginning, we have been shaping us to be adaptive, responsive and iterate fast on what we do. However, this year was extraordinary. Gabriel Ledesma (our COO)’s key participation from the tactical side has been instrumental in this transformation. His expertise and experience has not only enriched our team culturally, but also elevated the capabilities of our team. As a result, in 2023 we became the first Uruguayan Certified Scrum Team. For that, I’m tremendously grateful. This symbolizes we’re walking towards our desired path.
I'm deeply grateful for our team's dedication and efforts. Each day at Streaver signifies a step forward towards cultivating the company and culture we believe in.
We're more than a business; we're a transformative force in our team members' lives, our clients' businesses, and the Uruguayan ecosystem. Every day presents unique opportunities for us to impact, grow, and celebrate the journey we're undertaking. It's an honor to lead and contribute to this journey, one that continually reaffirms my dedication to our vision. Partnering with such a high-performing professional like Federico Kauffman is indeed a privilege. A company is built by people and to have our current team is not a coincidence. I want to give a big shout to all of our talents who have been with us pushing forward each day to be our best version possible.
As we shape our objectives for 2024, our vision extends beyond a trivial company-building concept.
2024 holds great promise. We're meticulously preparing for it, focusing on enhancing our productivity, delving deeper into AI, and transforming ourselves. Dinosaurs will die.
At our core lies our continued commitment to understanding and addressing our partners' needs, rooted in a customer-centric approach. Staying tech-agnostic will remain a cornerstone of our identity. We believe in using the right tools for the right job. Improving on our expertise field is a fact and learning what we don’t, a must. We will be launching our first product, and reinventing our business model.
Our vision for 2024 is to be more than a tech company. We aim to be a partner, an innovator, and a leader, driving change and making a difference on each step. Streaver is set to enhance the Uruguayan community and the global software landscape.
