Developing Blockchain Portals for Agricultural Traceability and Regulatory Compliance

The Challenge

1. Regulatory Compliance in Agriculture:

The European Union’s sustainability law requires companies to provide accessible product traceability and sustainability documentation by January 2025. Justoken needed to build digital solutions that ensured full compliance with these regulations.

2. Dual Agricultural Portals

The project required the development of two platforms:

- Aclient-facing portalwhere external stakeholders could access traceability and sustainability documentation.
- An internal portal for Bunge, enabling the management of orders, users, and documentation with high security standards.

3. Technical Complexity in Blockchain Development:

The technical scope included addressing challenges such as monorepo structure optimization, NestJS backend implementation, and advanced user permission systems—all while ensuring scalability and fast development.
