Last Friday, we were part of CityJS London 2025, one of the most relevant conferences in the JavaScript ecosystem, an inspiring experience for anyone working in technology and community building.
CityJS was born from the collaborative effort of four JavaScript communities in London, Halfstack, JSMonthly, the former London JS Community, and the London Node User Group, and has grown into a key gathering point for professionals from around the world.
This year, Streaver was represented by Daniela De La Sierra, who attended the event from London and experienced a day full of learning, networking, and forward-looking ideas. Throughout the day, she connected with professionals from different countries and attended talks delivered by speakers from companies such as Okta, Neo4j, Microsoft, Cloudinary, and Vercel, among many others.
The conference featured a wide range of topics, from emerging tools and frontend best practices to accessibility, scalable architecture, and community strategy. With multiple parallel tracks, attendees could tailor their experience according to their interests.
Beyond the technical content and flawless logistics, what stood out the most was the strong sense of global community. Meeting people from all over the world, sharing knowledge and building connections, reminded us of the power of international collaboration.
At Streaver, experiences like this motivate us to keep supporting and growing the tech community in Uruguay and across the region. Knowing that CityJS has also taken place in countries like Brazil makes us wonder: what if an event of this scale could be held in Montevideo?
We’re grateful to the CityJS organizers for putting together such an outstanding event, and to Daniela for representing Streaver with passion and dedication. We look forward to sharing more insights from the conference and continuing to build bridges between tech communities worldwide.
